Reply to FamilyPhysician's Post: her stools became watery off and on a few days ago and slightly darker and foul smelling yesterday. This morning she had 2 foul smelling green,water,mucus-like stools.

She breastfeeds the same as she always has. She eats on one side and is done an hour later she eats on the other side and is full for 2 and half to 3 and a half hours.

I am less worried by the change in color of the stools than the fact that you describe her as "more sleepy than usual". Dehydration may be a consideration, although as long as she is breastfeeding normally, this is not likely.

The safest option would be to have her checked to be certain what is wrong, and to verify that she is not dehydrated.

I was more worried about the mucus in her stools and wondered if i should be concerned. I was assuming that she wasn't dehydrated because she has a clogged tear duct and both of her eyes are still watering frequently.
